Child safety standards

1. Where we stand

GamGam has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation ("CSAE"). This includes, but is not limited to: child sexual abuse material, sexualisation of minors, grooming, sextortion, child sex tourism, and any content or conduct that promotes, normalises or facilitates these practices.

There is no situation in which such content or conduct is tolerated on GamGam. The consequence is always the same: permanent account termination and a report to the competent authorities.

2. GamGam is an app for adults aged 18 and over

2.1. The App is intended exclusively for people aged 18 or over, as stated in clause 3 of the Terms. It is not designed for minors, is not directed at them and is not marketed to them.

2.2. Age gate at sign-up. A date of birth is required to create an account. The App prevents anyone who declares they are under 18 from completing registration, and the User declares under oath that they are of legal age.

2.3. Extra restriction in the store. The store listing declares a target audience of "18 and over", and the setting asking Google Play to block downloads by users it identifies as minors is enabled.

2.4. Age is never shown and never used for matching. The date of birth is used only to verify legal age; a person's age is not displayed to other users anywhere in the App.

2.5. We suspend or delete any account where there is reasonable evidence that it belongs to a minor, even if nobody reported it.

3. How to report from inside the App

3.1. Any user can report a person from their profile or from the conversation screen, in two taps. One of the available reasons is explicitly "Seems to be a minor".

3.2. Users can also report an event from its page, and block anyone at any time. Blocking cuts off all interaction immediately and needs no explanation.

3.3. Reports are confidential: the reported person never learns who reported them.

4. How to report from outside the App

If you do not have an account, if the report is urgent, or if you would rather write to us directly, email [email protected] with the subject "Child safety". This channel is open to anyone: users, authorities and child protection organisations.

Do not attach the material. Describe it and tell us where it is (username, event name, gamgam.app/e/… link, approximate date and time). Forwarding child sexual abuse material is itself a criminal offence, even when done in order to report it.

5. What we do with a report

5.1. Reports involving minors and CSAE have the highest priority and are reviewed within 24 hours of being received, ahead of any other report.

5.2. Where there is reasonable evidence, we suspend the account immediately as a precaution, before the review is finished. We would rather suspend a legitimate account by mistake and restore it afterwards than leave a dangerous account running while we investigate.

5.3. We remove the reported content and review the rest of the content and conversations linked to that account.

5.4. We preserve the evidence (content, metadata, connection logs and account data) for as long as needed to make it available to the authorities, even if the account is deleted. This preservation takes precedence over the ordinary data deletion described in the Privacy Policy.

5.5. We terminate the account permanently when a report is confirmed. Termination applies to the person, not only to the account: creating a new account to get around it is itself a breach of the Terms.

5.6. We report to the competent authorities every confirmed or reasonably suspected case of CSAE, and we cooperate with their requests.

6. Authorities and reporting lines

GamGam is operated by Daokio, a Colombian company, and complies with Colombian law on this matter, in particular Law 679 of 2001 and Law 1336 of 2009, which set out measures to prevent and counter the sexual abuse and exploitation of minors, as well as the duties of internet service providers.

8. Review of these standards

We review these standards at least once a year, and whenever the App's functionality or the applicable rules change. The date of the last update appears at the top of this page.
